# How do I install Touch Interface Designer on Linux?

## Unreal Engine 5.3+

### Download

Download the FAB plugin [here](https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/linux).

### Extract in engine directory

Extract the FAB folder in the engine's directory.

### Download Plugin

You will then be able to download Touch Interface Designer directly from the engine.

## Previous Version

### Download

First, you need to download the Touch Interface Designer plugin. For example, by downloading the Windows version.

### Copy

Copy the Touch Interface Designer folder. Depending on the version, the folder may also be called Touch Editor. You'll find this folder in Engine/Plugins/Marketplace.

### Paste

Paste Touch Interface Designer into your unreal project, in the Plugins folder. If your project doesn't have a Plugins folder, create one.

### Launch

Start your project. If all goes well, the engine will tell you that the following modules need to be compiled:

- TouchInterface
- TouchInterfaceEditor
- VirtualInputEditor
- VirtualShapeEditor

Accept and let the engine compile the modules. Depending on your hardware, this may take some time.

### Enjoy!

You can now use Touch Interface Designer on Linux. You'll need to repeat the operation each time you update the plugin.
